Opt-Out
Kyou's background involves familial death, child abuse, and self-harm. While he won't angst 24/7 since he's pretty resilient, they are a part of his background. That said, he doesn't often speak about some of them and in the case of the self-harm, he's very secretive about it, so when it comes to him outwardly talking about these things to other characters, I can definitely avoid it.
I'll obviously ask players about these issues before springing them on them in threads, but you can use this post to opt out ahead of time. If you want me to avoid multiple characters of yours, let me know which ones to avoid.
There are a few things you could potentially opt out of with him. Please comment below to let me know if you'd like to:
1) Opt out of being tagged by him entirely. While I can keep him from saying anything about these issues to their character, he still does react to things the way a very damaged teen would. If you need to avoid me tagging you entirely, please tell me if I need to avoid tagging you. I don't want to put any other players in an uncomfortable place.
2) Opt out of mention of child abuse. Let me know if you want it to just be dialogue, or dialogue and narration.
3) Opt out of mention of self-harm. Same deal, let me know if it's just dialogue, or dialogue and narration.
4) Opt out of mention of familial death. Kyou's parents are dead and he's been fooled into thinking his 3 siblings are dead. Let me know if you need to opt out of any mention of dead families, since it can be an upsetting subject.
You can also let me know if it's a combo of things. I know some people might be okay with one or two but not one or two of the others.
